St. Peter’s R C Primary

St. Peter’s R C Primary
Jema St. Peter’s Roman Catholic primary school is one of the noble and hardworking educational unit which was established on 1st September, 2004 with ten pupils and a teacher in the R/C chapel.

It is located at Jema in the kintampo south district of Brong Ahafo, Ghana. It is the fourth primary school established in Jema but the best school the community can boast of.

The idea leading to the establishment of the school was mooted by Mr. Samuel. k. Gaisie (head teacher), Mr. Gah Moses and some church elders to feed an already existing Junior High School which was established in 1999.

The pupils used to study in the chapel and under trees for three years. Later, the parish priest Rev. Father Francis Kowel put up a three unit classroom block with an office to house classes one to three (1-3).  By the grace of God, another three unit classroom block, an office and staff common  room has been built by  World Vision Ghana, Kintampo South  A .D .P to accommodate classes four, five and six (4,5,6) which were before then studying under trees in the school.

The school can now boast of a student population of four hundred and thirty six (436) pupils, six professionally trained teachers, two national service persons with Mr. Samuel Kweku  Gaisie as th the headmaster.

The vision of the school is to provide quality education to enable pupils read and write and also inspire and prepare the pupils to be critical thinkers and also accountable members in their societies. Our mission is to provide quality education to pupils through discipline and hard work.

With ‘Discipline and Hard work’ as the motor, the staff always collaborates with the headmaster in providing a safe and nurturing environment which results in the following:

-. Moral uprightness

- God centeredness

-Access, process and transmission of information

- Development of academic skills
