Introduction To Blessed Queens And Kings Academy

The Blessed Queens And Kings Academy was opened in September, 1999.As an early Child hood development Centre and was officially opened under the name Kings and Queens Academy at the residence of the proprietor E.Y Agbesi initially it was intended to admit children between the ages of 3 and 5 years and prepare them academically, morally and physically for entry into basic education class one.

At the moment the school operate the name Blessed Queens and Academy and runs courses up to the JHS Level. The institution have been registered with the Ghana Education Service and the Registrar General’s Department under the company code 1963. Training caters for the development of the child’s Physical, Mental , Moral and Social faculty: the three H (Head Hand and Heart).

The Motto of the school is Knowledge and Righteousness. The school started with 36 pupils comprising 23 boys and 13 girls with six staff.Presently the enrollment is 364 and a stuff of 23. The school is adopted by NGO, Edify who gave the school 11 computers through Sinapi Aba due to that the school can boast of a computer laboratory.

Currently the school is benefiting from an educational programme from OLE Ghana all thanks to Edify for identifying us. Our pupils now learn with joy and they have a reason to come to school at all cost. The current staff is working with full seriousness due to the one week workshop organized by OLE.

The day the ‘School BeLL’ was presented to the school was a small durbar organized to welcome the Ole Team. Some parents attended, among these people is the PTA chairman. The pupils were also present and school’s cultural group gave a great performance to grace the occasion. The day was just like a dream come true and left the staff and the administration no option but to work hard to make good use the school bell to help our pupils.
