Ayikai Doblo M/A Primary
Ayikai Doblo M/A Primary School is one o the oldest schools in the Ga West Municipality. Established in 1943, the school has served and continue to serve many villages within the Odumase – Amanfro Circuit. The school has a total of twelve (12) staff and an enrollment of 307 made up of 164 girls and 143 boys.
The school has contributed immensely to the development the area and its environs. Many prominent personalities have been trained by the school and are occupying responsible positions in the Ghanaian society. A notable personality is the current assemblyman Ayikai Doblo, the honourable Noah Armah, who was once a pupil of the school. The school was formally house in an old dilapidated structure with a few rooms whose architecture was not enough to accommodate two classes. In the early 1980s a new school building which was quite spacious was built to house the school. However, it did not include a kindergarten.Fortunately there was a poultry farm very close to the school whose owner was quitting the site. The farmer graciously and generously gave out his poultry farm structure to house the kindergarten.
The vision of the school is to provide relevant education to all school going children at the basic level in Ayikai Doblo to enable them to acquire skills that will assist them to develop their potential to be productive, to facilitate poverty reduction and to promote socioeconomic growth and national development. It sees its mission as the training of the precious human resource of Ayikai Doblo through the provision of quality basic education and to implement policies of The Ghana Education Service to accelerate the welfare of Ghanaians to achieve human resource development, good health, reduce poverty; promote national integration and help gain international recognition for Ghana as a developing country.
